The CLASCO project at Cape Lambert Port in Western Australia involves the replacement of its existing gantry with a new, rail mounted travelling and luffing stacker located on the eastern side of the Coarse Ore Stockpile. This includes new conveyors and the deconstruction of the existing gantry structure, conveyor and tripper.
REA has mobilised senior structural engineering support to site to assist Monadelphous with rapid lifting studies and analysis associated with the deconstruction. Rio Tinto Iron Ore and SKM have been very satisfied with the quality of advice and dedicated support provided by REA.
